Estimados colegas do CPR:

Estamos consternados con la noticia de la suspensión del apoyo del Consejo de Artes Escénicas de Gales (ACW) en dar continuidad al Centro de Pesquisa y Performance CPR.

La Labor del CPR ha sido de gran importancia durante estos 30 años en la formación, desarrollo, e intercambio de conocimientos destinado a la pesquisa e investigación teatral.
No entendemos pues esta decisión cuando el CPR contribuye con su capacidad profesional junto a grandes profesionales del teatro a nivel mundial.


Siempre seguimos, junto al Odin Teatret, el arduo trabajo del CPR y creemos que este problema va a ser solucionado, siempre que las autoridades competentes tengan el valor, juicio y sensibilidad para entender cuan importante es este centro no solo para el teatro europeo, mas también para el mundo e universo teatral.


Si este pequeño gesto puede servir de algo, solicitamos la prolongación de ayuda a un centro de tal envergadura como lo es el CPR.


Deseamos entonces, que nuestras voces sean escuchadas, desde el otro lado del océano, conjuntamente con las millares de voces que sabemos irán a protestar contra una decisión de tal índole.
Hay un eterno camino para nosotros, los hombres y mujeres del teatro en este mundo, y es el camino de las piedras, tortuoso y difícil, pero no imposible de transitar. Hay algo que siempre nos mantiene en pie y firmes: nuestro sueños.

Con mucho cariño para ustedes, esperando poder resolver este enorme problema para la sociedad teatral contemporánea en todo el mundo.

Dear CPR’s colleagues,

We are dismayed to hear about the ACW’s cut of funding to the Centre for Performance Research.

CPR’s work has been of great importance in the last 30 years in the training, development and Exchange of knowledge destined to the research and theatre investigation.
We do not understand this decision, especially because CPR has contributed with its professional capacities together with great theatre professionals.

Together with the Odin Theatre, we have always followed CPR’s hard work and we believe that this problem will be solved, provided that the competent authorities have the value, judgment and sensibility to understand how important this centre is, not only for the European Theatre but also for the whole world and theatre universe.

If this small gesture can help, we ask for an extensión of support to such an importante Centre as CPR.

We hope that our voices can be heard, from the other side of the ocean, together with thousands of voices we know will protest against such a decision
For us, the men and women of the theatre in this World, there is an eternal walk. This is a path of stones a hardous and difficult one, but it is not impossible to walk through it.

With lots of affection, we hope that this huge problem can be resolved by the contemporary theatre society throughout the World.
