Howard Cooper

Dear colleagues,

I would like to express my support for the continuing existence of CPR.

I have not worked in theatre for 8 years as I am now a screenplay writer with various commissions to write TV series and movies for international co-productions.

What I learnt from my contact with CPR has stood my in good stead with these endeavours and have been a most valuable inspiration for creating sophisticated inter-cultural screenplays.

However “commercial” writing becomes it draws upon roots in true theatre. And CPR enables that.

Without CPR less talent will come through in artistic situations, thus weakening the economy and culture, not only in Wales but worldwide.

Best regards

Howard Cooper
