Lamento enormemente que el Welsh Arts Council haya decidido cancelar la renovación de apoyo económico al CPR – Centre for Performance Research desde julio del 2008, pues realmente es un centro de investigación muy importante, y de ayuda al desarrollo del teatro y de las artes en general para todo el mundo.

Pertenezco a la Universidad Nacional de Cuyo, Mendoza, ARGENTINA, y a través del programa de Becas y Ayudas de la Secretaría de cultura de la Nación Argentina, tuve la oportunidad de pasar unos días en CPR en el 2006, y apreciar la enorme oportunidad de su existencia para las personas allegadas al quehacer teatral, actores, alumnos de teatro/danza, profesores, investigadores del movimiento,etc.

Sería muy necesario para la cultura mundial que este trabajo no se discontinuara.

I feel enormous sadness that the Arts Council of Wales has decided to cancel the renovation of economic support to the CPR – The Centre for Research Performance from July of the 2008, because it really is a very important research centre, and of aid to the development of the theatre and the arts in general for everybody throughout the world.

I belong to the National University of Cuyo, Mendoza, ARGENTINA, and through the program of Scholarships and Aids of the Secretariat of culture of the Argentina, I had the opportunity to spend time in CPR in 2006, and to appreciate the enormous opportunity its existence gives to people connected to the performance spectrum, actors, students of theatre and dance, professors, investigators of the movement, etc.

It is absolutely necessary for the world-wide culture that this work is not discontinued. Thank you very much,
