Judie Christie and Richard Gough,
As a voice practitioner and actor in Belgium, I want to express my admiration and gratitude to the CPR based now in Aberystwyth, formally installed in Cardiff, for all the workshops they have been organising over the years.
It is for me the only place in Europe that regularly organises voice workshops at such a professional level and it is the most valuable place for people in that highly specialized field to meet, discuss, and work intensively together. The connections it provides, the intellectual and practical challenges it brings, have no equivalent, not only in England, but all over Europe and beyond.
I was able to attend "Giving Voice" in 1994 and am going to be there this year. Over the years, I have encouraged many people to go, completely confident of the high quality of the work proposed.
This place should be supported so that its existence is secure, for the reasons I have developed quickly here, but also because it serves as a source of inspiration for so many artists, citizens, and the people who support the development of the human soul.
