I am very distressed to learn of the proposed cut in funding from the Arts Council for the valuable work that you continue to do. Here in the United States we have been impressed by the high level of your work and your commitment to work that makes a difference in the lives of people. We often see this attitude about funding in the United States, and we had looked to the UK at as a model for enlightened support of the arts. Above all, we hope that you will find a way to continue your work, the loss of CPR would very serious.
