Dear Judie Christie and Richard Gough,

It is with dismay that I read that CPR is threatened with a withdrawal of funding.

The work of CPR has given practical, technical and theoretical inspiration to innovative, experimental performance that cuts across the grain of the product orientated mainstream. To lose it would be to lose a very great deal. It would be a blow to the future of exploratory work.

I sincerely hope that the ACW rethink their position and reconsider how best to support the work of CPR.

With best wishes,

Phil Smith
