I am distressed to hear that Arts Council Wales has decided to withdraw your revenue funding from July 2008. CPR has made an outstanding international contribution to the development of work in, and thought about, performance.
This very significant intellectual and financial investment in the past should not be put at risk with a decision that appears short-sighted and also sadly parochial. You certainly have my voice in support of your attempts to persuade Arts Council Wales to rethink this decision. If you had done nothing else other than establish Performance Research Journal you would deserve support. And of course you have done so much more.
