Dear Judy and Richard,
We would like to give you as much as we can in your difficult situation. Here are a few words on our impressions of your news. We have also sent this note as a letter via mail:
We have received the news, concerning the situation of the Centre for Performances Research, which threatened us. We are afraid, that the bad financial condition of CPR would paralyze their marvelous activity.
CPR is a very well known Centre for experimental theatre all over the Europe. Years of activity made that stable at the same time significant place, giving the artist the opportunity to exchange their intellectual and artistic ideas. Needless to say, that CPR was a sort of laboratory of integrating Europe. Today, we all know the important role of culture in the social and political processes of unifying nations.
The CPR was an example of perfection in organizing cultural events:
-theatrical festivals
-various workshops
-presentations of performances from all over the world
All of European well known experimental theatres were the CPR’s guests, and all of them experienced fabulous and creative ambiance of this place. We have such impression, that today’s international exchange in arts as well as multicultural dialogue is even more significant for Europeans than ever.
We hope, that the financial difficulties of CPR are only a result of misunderstanding, because it is hard to imagine, that a big work of this Centre could be unnoticed.
Sincerely Yours,
Ewa Wojciak
