Lou Kennedy - Co-Director, Ember Productions, Dublin

Dear Judie and Richard,

I am a past summer student of CPR, having completed two separate courses, one with Mike Pearson and the other with Geraldine Pilgrim.

I felt CPR facilitated a wonderful learning experience for me and offered me as an Irish artist the opportunity to appreciate the progressive nature of theatre in Wales and its international influence. I specialize in an area of theatre called landscape theatre and with my theatre company, Ember Productions, I curate a new festival in Ireland called Trim Festival of Masks. In fact, as a result of my workshop in CPR, I met two other theatre practitioners from the UK whom I employed to come to Ireland and facilitate parts of last years festival.

I feel that CPR offers a magnificent networking opportunity all year round and for those like myself who have been lucky enough to attend courses there, it remains a constant source of support. CPR are a dynamic force in the ever changing theatre world, their leadership is hugely influential and helps push the boundaries of theatre and performance.

I strongly support the CPR and greatly saddened that It’s current funding status is in jeopardy.

Yours sincerely,

Lou Kennedy
