Dear Judie and Richard,
What seems to be ill understood is that CPR has represented Wales in international theatre contexts over the last 30+ years both by developing work in Wales and by profiling Wales ' creativity abroad. This cannot be done by project funding alone. Though I can well understand ACW's concerns about Wales ' theatrical profile this must not be done at the expense of Wales ' international cultural profile as it has been developed. The EU thrives on intercultural initiatives and CPR should now become the first stop for such in conjunction with ACW. To reduce CPR to mere competitor status would compromise both current activities and the body of work built up over time.
